PawMart is Trademarked!

We received a big brown envelope from the Intellectual Property Office this week.

Yes! Our Trademark application had finally been approved. PawMart now is officially trademarked! A great way to mark our 5 year milestone. We believe this would give greater assurance to our customers that, we at PawMart, have ownership over the business and we want to be distinguished from other online pet shops by going the extra mile to achieve customer satisfaction. As how our tagline says," Passion and Purrrrrrfection!"

Just a little story on the side. Prior to the registration of the trademark, we found out that a local Facebook page was using the name "Petss*** PawMart" to sell petstuff online. The feedback we saw

from the FB page were bad, with bad logs and tonnes of enquiries on unfulfilled orders. We were furious with the impersonation. Fearing that our customers may confuse them for PawMart, we decided that it was the right time to register the trademark with company name, just in case some other unscrupulous merchants try to pull such stunts again. 

That "Petss*** PawMart" FB page is now defunct, or have changed to some other name. I would like to advise new pet owners and online shoppers that cheap prices shouldn't be everything that you should look for when you do online shopping. Knowing the identity, location and contact details of the retailer is a must. Other details such as business registration numbers should also be displayed. Lastly, you can always Google to find out more about the company's reputation before buying from them.

Remember, as the saying goes, " If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
