Message from H.o.D Peanut

Hi Everyone!

I am Mr Peanut So, the very cute and beloved owner of Travis and Kelly. I have been observing the two of them for almost a month since Mdm Bear left us. Both of them are still very much in mourning, but the show must go on!

I would like to apologize on behalf of my two pets (Kelly n Travis), for the lack of blog updates recently. Anyway, as the recently promoted H.o.D ( Head of Dogs) at PawMart, I shall update you on some news from my company.

Monthly Promotions

April's Special
For starters, we are going to run monthly special deals for my fellow paw counterparts. Every month we will be releasing a QR image on our Facebook Page. You will only see the coupon code after you scanned the image on your smartphones. Upon checking out after ordering, just type in that secret code and we will acknowledge it. Shhhh! Don't go around telling people whats the code. You don't scan, you won't know!

Website Updates

This next update is concerning the website @ http://pawmart.com.sg. I don't know what my 2 toopid pets did to my website, but there has been some feedback about the shop loading being slow and everything!! Worry not, we are still very much in business. For a smoother experience while shopping, please access our web store via our Facebook page (just click on the "shop with us here" button) for the time being. You can also feel free to call Kelly at 90050009 to make an order. (Don't call me please. Let my pets do their jobs..)

You would have noticed too that our old web address is no longer in use. It was meant to be an alternative shopping avenue in case something screws up at the current one. The address for the alternative site has been changed to http://ecommerce.pawmart.com.sg . Please bookmark us at http://ecommerce.pawmart.com.sg just in case. Thank you all so much!

That's all for now. I'm gonna go punish the two of them now. While they are out, I'm gonna go pee and poo... all over the house... Muhahaha...

Enhanced Our Ride!

Well well.. We've finally found time to do up a new post. Hoped everyone had a great time during Chinese New Year!

As announced last month, PawMart's pet taxi is now enhanced with pet safety harnesses! The new Pet Vehicle Safety Harness comes with a fully padded vest, breathable mesh liner inside for comfort and heavy duty steel components (tested to 1300kg). The best of all is that it fits all vehicles! Simply clip it on the seat belts and you are all set to go~

Why are Vehicle Harnesses important?

I'm sure some pet owners who drives would have experienced this. Imagine ...

Scenario 1

You are driving along the highway with your dog at the back seat. An inconsiderate driver in front of you brakes suddenly, causing you to jam your brakes too. At this moment, you might have forgotten that your pet is seated at the back seat. The sudden braking sends him/her flying off the back seat, landing in an awkward position. To make things worse now, you can't stop at a highway to adjust your pet back to a safe position. What comes after is that you would be so distracted by your pet's whining that it hinders your good judgement. A simple trip out with your pet has now become more dangerous than ever.

Scenario 2

You are driving with your pet at the front passenger seat. I know that some of us like to let them sit at the feet compartment area, hoping that they will stay still throughout the ride. Most often then not, they would try their best to climb up to your lap and cuddle with you, if they are small enough. Now you have a dog on your lap, trying to give you kisses every now and then. The driver gets distracted again, endangering himself and other motorists.

With the pet vehicle harness, your pets will no longer be wandering around in the vehicle while you are driving. The steel clips integrates with the seat belt tension device to provide a range of motion when traveling but locks during sudden stops.  At least now, you have less worries about them when there is a need for sudden brakes.

Milo the Westie was our first customer to try out the new harness! Milo loves watching cars and likes to look out the windows while traveling on our pet taxi trips. This time round, he was snuggled nicely into the harness and sat still throughout the trip. He still gets to move around the back seat, but this time round, we know he is much more safer.

At PawMart, your pet's safety is our utmost concern. If you own a vehicle and likes this product, you can buy it from our web store at www.pawmart.com.sg  Comes in four different sizes. Get it now for a safe journey on the road with your pets!

Till next time.

Da Beary Merry Christmas

On this merry "Da Christmas" day

I hope, and I pray

That I can again be on my fours

And recover from all my sores

On "Da Christmas" gifts were sent

And on this day I'd like to thank

Humans who accepted me for who I am

Humans who gave it all they can

Thank you Eunice for soft mats

As they cushioned all my falls

They lessened the pain I had from sores

Whenever I wanted or tried to crawl

Thank you Lynn for the red stroller

As my humans are getting older

I'm really worried for their aching back

When they carry me to see the Vet

Thank you Hwee Ling for the biscuits

Thank you too for the cake

I hope that I'll gain some weight

And no more will I waste away

Thank you too, Spongebob Yeo

The treats were all yummy, you know?

The diapers kept me clean and dry

Though wearing them makes me feel so shy

Well, lots had happened to me this year

But lots of love happened for me too

So there's lots of reasons to go on

One of the reasons, is you.

And so on "Da Christmas" night

I promise to God, I'll fight

To walk again, I'll try

Just for a smile in my Humans' eyes

Beary Merry,
Madam Bear

Pins & Needles

The Humans... they abducted me to the Vet again today. I don't really like going there. It's always soooo cold there and while my fluffs are still growing back slowly, I had no protection at all. Where's my damned coat!? Luckily Human was clever enough to provide me with his laps to lie on, and I had my revenge by drooling all over his pants...

I noticed that passer bys always tend to stop and ask Human what happened to me. Poor Human had to answer to each one of them patiently, although I can see his face cringing slowly from the bombarding questionings.. Heh heh...

They decided to go ahead with the Arkupunture..Arcupunter...oh whatever they call it. They didn't even consult me first!! Thus I shall do what I do best.. scribbling on their blog again~

Me wired up
I found some pictures of me from the needle poking session on their talking device. Ah.. looks painful doesn't it. Actually, it didn't hurt as much. For months my front legs were feeling so tight that I couldn't walk properly. Vet first gave me a good massage from my neck to my lower back. Vet gave me a heat pad to warm my legs too. While I was still enjoying it, Vet stopped and started poking me with needles! Felt like small ants pinching.

After around 20 pokes, I thought the worst was over. Vet then started clipping wires on the needles... OMG is this some kind of Frankenstein experiment or what?  STOP! LET ME GOOOO...
Funny sensations followed. I felt pulses through my body, and started to relax again.

Anyway, they always make me wear a black nose mask while doing things to me. Dear Human, if you are reading this, you think I'm a ninja issit? Please take off that black thing before taking photos of me OK? You know that my fans would surely like to see my full face right?

The whole session lasted for 1 hour. I felt more relaxed on the treated side. I just went to Wiki on the Arcku.. whatever, and though it says results were mostly ambiguous, I think it did help me much. Humans were discussing about me on the car ride back. I pretended to sleep. I heard everything. YOU GUYS ARE PLANNING ON ANOTHER SESSION!?!? I think I fainted from shock after that. Blacked out, can't remember much.

Me Sleep
So I slept so soundly that night after the treatment, I didn't even wake up to have dinner. Maybe it wasn't that bad, less the fact that I looked like Frankiedog during the process. Humans always liked to take photos of me secretly.. now people know how I look when I sleep. GREAT...

Thanks to Vet, she taught my Humans how to do some physio exercises for my front legs. Hope that I can recover much of my walking abilities soon. I heard the Humans talking about some coming festival called "Da Christmas ", and had received some early presents from my fans. Will write about it again once I get a chance to get on the computer. Maybe the Humans should get me an IPad for "Da Christmas", instead of always getting me PeePads...

Me with Vet

Enough typing for a day. My paws are getting stiff again. Funny, I'm actually looking forward to the next session with Vet and her fantastic massages. Bye!

In the mood for "Da Christmas"

R.I.P Wugui (2003 - 2013)

Today's the first time I've experienced the loss of a pet.

Our turtle, Wugui (turtle in chinese)  just passed away this morning.

Wugui was a rescued turtle from my previous workplace. She was living in a pond enclosure that we built from scratch. During an inspection by the authorities, we were ordered to tear the enclosure down and to get rid of the pool before we post out to a new place.

Fishes were adopted by some of my colleagues, but nobody wanted Wugui. The reason? She was a blind turtle. Never had eyes since the day we got her. She was still able to look for her pellet food just by her sense of smell, but was always at the mercy of the fishes that were fighting for food with her. As she may have quite a long life span, many of my colleagues did not want to commit to taking care of her. All of them were deciding whether to abandon her at the nearest freshwater reserve, or just turn a blind eye to what's happening and act blur, leaving her to her own fate.

This wasn't right, I thought. How was she going to survive in the water reserve in her condition? Gazing at her face, as if under some sort of spell, I volunteered to take her home. Water tanks and pumps were gathered hurriedly, and a simple home for her was set up, with much rejection from my Mum.

I had a revelation that day, that people of the older generation, especially those from the Baby Boomers era, had little or no interest in other life forms other than humans. Guessed they toiled their days to make sure their children could have comfortable lives. Their human babies were all they ever cared about. Under fire from the intense scrutiny by my Mum, Wugui's tank was moved from the living room to the kitchen. Finally after one last fight with Mum, I moved her into my own room. I never knew why I was so persistent on keeping her. Mum was always start by saying," Let her go free, let her be in her correct environment, its cruel to keep her in a tank." and stuff. When the fight gets worse, comments would escalate into,"Its dirty! Its smelly! Get rid of it before I kick you out of the house!"

As a young adult then, I was fearless and was unfazed by her threats. Of course, no Mothers would do that to their kid over a pet turtle. It did leave a dent in our relationship though. Quarrels often revolved around Wugui. This went on for years and when I got married and moved to a new home, I brought Wugui along with me.

She would always surprise my friends and relatives when they visit. They would start asking about her story on how she got blind, how she ended up at my place and why do I chose to keep a handicapped reptile pet like her. A few of my relatives had the same reaction like my Mum, which pisses me off much. They had everything to comment, from the water color, to some sort of imaginary smell (which didn't have any), to even electrical bills that they weren't even paying for me.

Anyway, Wugui lived well for the next 6 years without much illness, until she passed away today. She wasn't eating much since last week. A strange growth over her nose area has caused her sense of smell to deteriorate. She couldn't find her food I guessed. One week prior to today, she was just laying at the bottom of the tank and hibernating. I even tried hand feeding her, but there was no reaction. This morning, she was floating at the top, which was unusual. I still heard splashes before leaving home for work today. That might had been her struggling for some precious last breaths, before departing this Earth.

My only regret was that I did not have a bigger pond for her to live in. She might have been happier, grew even bigger and healthier, and stayed with us longer. She was about 10 years old, maybe even older, when she left us today.

To Wugui:

With all things imperfect about you, you were still the most exquisite pet to me. I would miss your water splashes much. Rest well now, and thank you for your time on Earth with us.

Travis

Our New Rewards System

From 2014, PawMart will be adopting a new rewards system.

Introduction

For the past 5 years, we have been giving out cash rebates to our loyal customers. Buying of pet supplies has since become a mundane task to pet owners, and just having cash rebates ain't exciting anymore.

With that in mind, we have decided to revamp our Rewards System, to give you and your pets what money can't buy.

We present to you now.......

What's PawCubes?

PawCubes is a new initiative by PawMart, an exciting new feature which is added into our rewards system.

Whats the Difference?

Let us do a comparison on the two cards.

The Old Rewards System

Total value of completed card is only $15

For every $40 you spend, you would be entitled one reward stamp.

Card expires in 6 months.

The old card was focused on giving cash rebates on top of our discounted prices, making pet supplies and accessories affordable for you.

The New Rewards System

Total value of a completed card would be $30 worth of gifts.

For every $50 spent, you will be entitled to one reward stamp.

Card expires in 1 year.

Hamster PawCube - $10 worth of merchandises
Kitten PawCube - $15 worth of merchandises
Doggie PawCube - $30 worth of merchandises

*The rewards system is not applicable with any other ongoing promotions

Our new Rewards System will now focus on giving you more merchandises to pamper your pets, on top of our discounted prices. By doing this, we create value for you as your expenditure stays the same, but you would be getting more out of it. Prices of pet products have been going up every year, but we would continue to do our best to keep prices as affordable as possible for pet owners, in anyway we can think of.

No doubt that it makes a difference to your monthly expenditure with cash rebates, but deep down inside, we all know what our pets really wants. It would be to have more toys, more food, and more love from you! With PawCubes, it will most often come with items you or your pets may need, and hopefully we can surprise you with every redemption!

We sincerely hope that you will enjoy this exciting new feature with us. Cheers!

Madam Bear's Gizmos

Hellooo everyone, I'm Madam Bear. Guessed you guys must have heard or read a lot about me from my Facebook page and through all the blog posts the Humans had been writing. It's coming two months since I came to live here, after that fateful accident that left me weak and worsened my arthritis. Nevertheless, the Humans have been busy taking care of me while I  recuperate. Living like a queen now!

I was so bored of just laying around today that I decided to hijack the Human's computer while they were out.  So you guys might be wondering, how do the humans take care of me everyday?

My daily schedule:

  • 9.30 am               Breakfast

  • 9.45 am               Wound cleaning, body wipe down

  • 10 am to 3 pm      Nap. Humans goes out to find food.

  • 3 pm to 4 pm       Walk myself (in the house)

  • 4 pm                    Ends up laying in a different area, waiting to surprise Humans when they come back

  • 8 pm                    Humans comes back with food, dinner time!

  • 8.15 pm               Exercise with Human's help

  • 8.45 pm               Wound cleaning. Tired. Sleep

  • 1 am                     Tumble to another part of the house to sleep, so Humans can be surprised again in                                           the morning.

I can't really walk much nowadays. I don't bark like Sam ( right: the other Golden Retriever who is staying with us for this month) when I want something (too much pride). When I'm thirsty, I'll just fake them with my sad eyes and lick my mouth to show that I'm hungry or feeling parched. Muahahaha....

Anyway, there are three very important items that helps me daily. They are quite useful for someone old with arthritis like me. I would like to share with you today...

We'll start off with this.. My favorite water bottle! It's a pet mobile drinker that can control the flow of water. With a controlled flow, it doesn't wet my pretty face and have the water straight to my mouth! It fills approximately 330 ml of water.

Previously when my ugly feet wounds were still raw, the Humans always wrap me up with this. It writes "Vetrap". Guessed it means Vet Wrap. Bad spelling.... Its a bandage for animals and it sticks on itself without using extra tapes. I didn't know 3M made bandages. God bless them, for making most things stick-able. Best of all, it doesn't get dragged off whenever I try to get up. I hope it comes in other colors. I really hate blue... I liked my previous yellow and pink bandages more!

Next, we have the ... Diapers *shy* .... Due to fact that I'm quite immobilized, I had to sometimes do my "lady business" right there and then. The ones I use are from Petio. It comes with a small oval hole at the back for my tail. It also prevents the ... err... poop, from getting stuck inside the diapers. Without this clever invention, I'm most likely to be laying on my "stuff" everyday... Yikes... The diapers soaks real good, leaving me dry every moment of the day.. Comes in 16 pieces a pack, lasts me for about one week.

I'm actually much better now with the meds given by the vet. I have been standing on my own a few minutes every day, just to move myself away to a cooler spot where I can sleep better. On days where I feel weaker, I would just sleep it off, only waking up for meals. Overheard that the humans might want to bring me for some acupuncture therapy... OMG...

Oh Ya! My favorite meal now is kibbles with milk! Its just like the KoKo Pops cornflakes the humans are having, just that mine are made of lamb meat. I'm currently having Avoderm Lamb kibbles, with Cosi Pet's Milk. Being old with a weaker set of teeth, I prefer my food soft. Previously the Humans tried so hard to coax me into eating dry kibbles. They even mixed can food and boiled chicken meat on the kibbles! I didn't fall for it of course. I would just finish up the meat and leave the kibbles untouched. Lalala ... TRY HARDER..... Well, the Humans just don't get it...

       +

                               =

Oh sh*t... I hear them coming back. Better start tumbling back to my bed.  Talk
to you guys next time!

Regards Restless,
Mdm Bear

What are we, without You?

Just yesterday, we received an encouraging SMS from a customer. The nice lady also wrote us a long testimonial. This was certainly a testament of what we had set out to do when we started the company. We would like to share it with you guys here. Below is Karen's email to us, unedited except for the email address and contact number due to privacy concerns.

MessageDear All,

I would like to recommend Pawmart to all pets
owner in singapore! Because this is the best pet
food online store and best service I have met.

My story with Pawmart, Ms Kelly, was 1yr ago,
where I am searching online purchase for my dog
food (as I do not have time to visit the pet
shop), and I search "pet food online singapore" on
GOOGLE website. Although Pawmart was not shown on
the 1st page of the search, but I somehow by
chance manage to click Pawmart.com.sg on the next
page of Google. Everything start with a SMS from
me to Kelly. She reply to my SMS promptly and
answer to my queries, and able to make delivery
arrange to me without any delay. That was the 1st
time I had online order for my pet food, which
after calculating, the pet food that I bought
(with Pawmart) was 20% cheaper than buying from
pet shop after member "discount". In the past
10yrs, I have been buying pet food from normal
shops by my own, and carrying the heavy stuffs
back home! But buying from Pawmart solved my
buying hassle completely!

My 1st delivery order came on time, delivered by
Travis, with a smile. And I received a "Pawmart
Reward Card"! I kept it with me. 2months later, I
need a pet food order again, I remembered Kelly,
so I SMS her, delivery arrange..etc. And this goes
on, one fine day, only then I realize, wow...I
have been such a loyal customer, with a completed
reward card all stamped! And I get my rewards, its
a $15 discount. It is such a good news for me,
because it means my pet food order this time is
$15 cheaper!

My story with Pawmart was such a great one,
because they not only solve my buying hassle, they
also solve my dog's grooming hassle! Basic
grooming or Full grooming, not a issue for me at
all. Because Kelly and Travis are able to make
arrangement according to your preferred date and
time, do the grooming service at your home, while
you able to continue with your housework, tv,
computer..etc. Travis has recently done Full
grooming for my medium size dog, and he really put
in the effort to do the best and not interrupting
me while I am having a group chat with friends. He
took more than 1hr, as my dog needs nail cut,
shave down with matted furs. Next is bathing time,
I passed him the towel, and I saw some red scratch
marks on his hand, but he did not complain to me
(I knew it's definitely done by my dog). I am so
sorry to see his reddish scratched marks, and the
sweats on his face, but still talk to you with a
smile. He has shown such passion and
professionalism! Thank you Travis!

I am really glad to have known Kelly and Travis,
you both are great! The 1st SMS message is such a
worthwhile, because it bring me as another friend
to you, and it bring you both another loyal
customer! Thank you and keep up the great job!

Regards,
Karen & Mickeygal

We had only known and served Karen for a year since 2012. Her testimonial could be the best birthday present that we had ever received ( yes, we are both November babies). This year, we had also received quite a number of good reviews from our customers, old and new. You can read them up under "Recent Posts by Others". It just reassures us that we are on the right path. Your feedback are really important to us!  Thank you!

Though it's impossible to please everyone, we will continue to do the best we can for our customers, in terms of customer service and responsiveness.

YOU
are the reason that keeps PawMart going.

A Small Contribution to Causes

Just last Thursday, we finally delivered our donations to CAS (Causes for Animals - Singapore). It had been delayed for a week due to the heavy rain that always happens in the afternoon. This contribution was in line with SMU PAW's Howl-o-ween Photo Contest. The contest had an overwhelming response, and thus we donated the pledged amount of $250 worth of merchandises. A total of 8 cartons of cat food were donated.

Off we drove in the heavy rain towards Seletar Farmway. We had never visited that part of Singapore even though we are about a 20 minutes drive away. Many turns we made before arriving at the shelter, thanks to our unintelligent GPS.

We met up with the volunteers of CAS and were about to leave when they graciously offered us into the shelter to give us a short tour. We were introduced to the dogs there, and they welcomed us with lots of licks. Each kennel was surprisingly clean. Travis was practically in awe with the cleanliness. So in awe was he that he totally forgot to take pictures of the shelter *slap*. The volunteers really did a good job maintaining the area.

What does CAS do?

Basically, they receive either food or monetary donations from public, and distributes them to the various shelters in Singapore. Some of their beneficiaries include Oasis 2nd Chance Animal Shelter, Gentle Paws and Exclusively Mongrels. For kind donors who do not know which shelter should they help out with, they can approach CAS. All donations will then be divided equally among the various shelters.

If you are keen on donating food to CAS, you can always approach us at PawMart . We already have a donation system in place for Oasis Shelter and Mdm Wong Shelter. You can read more about CAS at https://www.facebook.com/causesforanimalsSG

We liked the CAS mission statement, " Helping the Helpless, Loving the Unloved." Strays depend much on human feeding or at their best, forage for food in our trash. They are not like wild monkeys or wild boars that have the innate ability to feed off nature. They are gradually endangered by us due to the growing developments in our small city state. Recently we heard a case of an injured stray mongrel, Piglet (click to know more about her). One of her hind legs had to be amputated due to a road accident. Luckily for her, she was rescued and brought the vet in time. We heard from the rescuers that she's doing better now, currently still staying at the vet's clinic.

I'm not trying to be preachy here, but I really like and believe this verse in the Bible, quote

Genesis 1:26 - Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'

Though we can't save them all, let us try our best and make a difference for them, one at a time.

Signing off,

Baby Steps, Once Again..

*Bop* ..... *Bop*..... *Bop*......

I was still at my desk finishing up some paperwork when I heard a thumping in the living room. Popped my head slowly out of the room, hoping that its not some paranormal activity that's going on.

To my surprise, Mdm Bear was standing on her two hind legs, trying to move from one end of the living room to another.

Her front legs were struggling to straighten up, and for more support, she used her snout to balance her whole body. I let her do what she wanted for awhile until it was real painful to watch how hard she was trying. She was fighting so hard for herself. All she wanted was to stand up. She ain't giving up yet.

My heart was squeezing me from the inside. I had to do something for her, right now! The muzzle was put on for her and I scooped her up in my arms. "Maybe some grass would do her good", I thought. Kelly was awoken when I was scrambling to wear some pants. Off we went to the grass patch downstairs, 3 A.M in the morning.

Strangely, Mdm Bear didn't even growl when I lifted her up. She could certainly sense what was going on, wagging her tail slightly while in the lift.

Onto the grass she went. No hesitation at all on what had to be done. She balanced herself steadily, as if trying to remember what it was like to walk again. Then, a miracle happened.

Kelly managed to capture some of the magical moments.

With the grass and soil aiding her, she had more grip to lift her body up. She still tumbled around though. After each try she would lay down on the grass, panting with enthusiasm. A total of 10 times she tried, each lasting merely seconds. She must have missed laying down on grass patches, after so many weeks on a mattress to recover.

That first 30 secs of her walking had sparked hopes in us again. We shared the good news with the rescuers at around 4 A.M. Replies came instantly. Don't these people ever sleep? Now we want you guys to have the good news too.

Thank you all who had been concerned with a dog like Mdm Bear. I believed your well wishes and prayers have reached her.

I guess all of it are coming true, little by little.

If you had left me there...

As I'm laying on this bed

Watching the day go by

Raw wounds are hounding me

So painful, I'd rather die

It was on that fateful night

Thunders roaring, lightning strike

Running blind, panicked with fright

Got caught by the gates, I struggled with my might

My paws were then torn

My cheeks were bruised

My skin were then worn

My hair, was gone

In time I was rescued

but the damage was done

I thought my time was nigh

To this life, I can finally be unbind

My mind then went dark as night

So could this be how Heaven is?

I felt cool floorings, I sense warming lights

Is this where I alas, rest in peace?

Nope, I wasn't let in

Into Heaven's gate I mean

Instead I was sent down here

Could this be where Heaven is on Earth?

My body has recovered

And the wounds are healed

But I can no longer stand

Without a kind helping hand

God works in mysterious ways they say

And I can never understand why

There are many questions in my mind today

Things I wanted to know, before we said good bye

Why did you bring me home that day?

Why did you raise me up?

Could things be better off in a way

If you had left me there, when I was just a little pup?

Mdm Bear may be recovering from her wounds, but earlier on, there were times I looked at her and couldn't see any sparkle of life within her eyes. Is she still fighting on or is it an effect of the medicines given? Does she look forward to the day when she can walk again? I wonder if all these were instead, us forcing our hopes and dreams onto her. Yes, of course we all want to see her eat, walk and live the remainder of her life happily on Earth .

Is it what she really wants?

The vet had suggested that she be PTS (put to sleep). Don't hate her. The reasons she gave us were logical ones that we can't deny. When is the right time to let go? This is the dilemma  that all pet owners have to go through one day. Peanut and Sasha are still young and healthy, thus we had never thought of anything like that. Who are we to decide when to end their lives anyway?

Maybe its true that God works in mysterious ways. This whole encounter with Mdm Bear, the rescuers and her ex - owner may be a lesson that He wants us to learn, and pass it on.

Her wounds are about 80% healed, appetite has been good and her mood has been improving. Nowadays she would turn her head to greet us whenever we come home. She was going to another foster home yesterday. An unfortunate accident left the foster-er with a bad knee and she can't take care of Mdm Bear now.

Nevertheless, everyone involved are not giving up anytime soon. We will continue to do our best for her. Never give up, never surrender (to circumstances) !

SPCA World Animal Day 2013

We had a blast at SPCA World Animal Day today. It was Day 2 of the three day event and the crowd there was huge~! Just going to be sharing some photos of the event.

Almost all corners of the event area was filled with activities. There were adoption drives, animal welfare awareness campaigns and fund raisings by the animal shelters and welfare groups. Lots of nice T-shirts with interesting prints to buy from the booths. I have got to get myself one tomorrow! Its just one of the ways of giving support to them.
Goodie bags are the main highlights of any events, so we took a picture of the contents for our readers. All laid out on a table, we see picture books, folders, stickers, pens and sample foods from FirstMate! How generous!

Crowds, crowds and more crowds. Everyone were busy taking photos but the best thing was that all of them had a smile on their faces. There's also a artist drawing live portraits for people. Talk about capturing the moment with your pencils.

Aah Hah! Even Garfield was there performing a live dance on stage. He really hyped up the crowd with his moves!

Winner of "One Minute of Fame" Talent Show

There are also lots of other mascots around for photo taking, free of charge. So do bring your kids and friends there for some fun and games tomorrow, Sunday 15/9/13. It would be the last day of the event.

Let us celebrate World Animal day, and most importantly, the message of responsible pet ownership that the event wishes to bring across to its visitors.
